Wind Chill to be replaced with "Extreme Weather"

Recommended Posts

Having lived in parts of the United States where wind chill was often mentioned in the forecast (Montana & Michigan) they are changing from saying "wind chill" to 'extreme cold". "

Instead of issuing wind chill advisories, watches and warnings, National Weather Service offices across the nation will be issuing extreme cold advisories, watches and warnings starting in the winter of 2024/2025.

You might be asking, "Why?"
