I like learning new things and seeing something from a different angle (not you Bob). I enjoy anything that is intended to make me smile, I like it whether it is funny or not.

I don't like endless philosophical debates and speculations. I prefer to gather facts and make logical deductions on available and relevant information.

CAUTION: The comments above may contain personal opinion, speculation, inaccurate information, sarcasm, wit, satire or humor, let the reader use discernment...:D

I like the "Living as Christians" forum the most.

I enjoy seeing the comments for the Bible reading, Watchtower and CBS. I also like the suggestions for the meeting for field service. I have used several of the comments AND suggestions

And the new topic about "New System Announcements" WOW! That has just BLOWN MY MIND!! I have been reading these to my wife and mom. We have been thoroughly LOVING them!

We even had a poll on which forum you visit the most. You may want to check that out as well.

Sister Gretel, such a wonderful topic to mull over and get to pick the brains of our very resourceful brothers and sisters. I loved when our friends discuss how they do their student talks. I have  a hard time doing mine and I wish our learned sisters can give pointers on how to carry out informal witnessing or holding a conversation that can lead to a bible discussion.

Could you also do me a favor and start a topic about how to prepare a particular student talk, whether it be a old talk/current assignment. I dither every time I need to start a new topic of discussion. I like being a bit impetuous but then I crash-and-burn when topic doesn't appeal to anyone. 😀

How about we pick an upcoming student talk and try to figure out how a person would start the discussion bearing in the mind the counsel material.

You could start with my next assignment.

Spoiler

I have just arrived home after a 4 day holiday to a nearby island and I'm just brain tired. I have to do the talk in a non English congregation.

I also suffer from a couple of mental deficiencies (inability to concentrate, depression, perfectionist, low self esteem and other problems)

Daydream -

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool for creativity. It causes a rush of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.
