The father heart of God

Recommended Posts

Can we even imagine how attractive we are in God's eyes? One of the biggest obstacles for him is when we believe that our flawed humanity is repulsive to him. But when my little son is dirty from playing, I pick him up and spray him down with the garden hose. I reject the dirt, not the boy.
Yes, we have sinned. Yes, we have broken God's heart. But we are still the center of God's affections - the apple of His eye. He pursues us with a forgiving heart. We say, “I found God,” but in reality, He found us after pursuing us with His love for a long time. Many children, especially boys, have not experienced outward evidence of affection from their father or felt genuine compassion when they have been hurt. Because of a false understanding of masculinity, they have been admonished, “Don't cry, son, boys don't cry.” Jesus is different. His compassion and understanding are boundless. He feels our pain more deeply than we ourselves are capable of, just as his love is greater than ours can ever be. We have already forgotten many pains - but God has not. He remembers every moment of our lives. He has not forgotten any of our tears until this very moment...

our tears

King David writes at Psalm 56:8

Quote

Do collect my tears in your skin bottle.
Are they not recorded in your book?

*** it-1 “Bottle” par. 4 Bottle ***
David, a fugitive beleaguered by foes, referred to the skin bottle figuratively, saying: “Do put my tears in your skin bottle.”  Thus David requested God, in whom he placed his trust, to put his tears as if in a skin bottle in order to remember them.

Spoiler

Probably skins filled with wine were sometimes hung where they could be smoked in order to protect them from insects or to impart certain desired properties to the wine quickly. On the other hand, when not in use, skin bottles might be hung in a room without a chimney and thus become darkened by smoke from fires built there. These wineskins would soon lose their elasticity and shrivel up. Perhaps with this in mind, the psalmist who was beset with trials said: “For I have become like a skin bottle in the smoke.”—Ps 119:83;

Daydream -

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool for creativity. It causes a rush of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.
