House Of David Series on Amazon

Recommended Posts

House of David is an upcoming American historical drama series developed by Jon Erwin for Amazon Prime Video. The series will tell the story of David, a king of ancient Israel and Judah and the second of the United Monarchy. The first three episodes of the TV series House of David will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday, February 27, 2025. After that, new episodes will be released weekly. It looks interesting.

Praise Jah lift your voice to the sky Praise Jehovah let your spirit's fly
From the heavens to the height so true Praise Jah let it flow through you

Not great, this isn't a JW production :D
They wanted to make it epic (filming is nice), but it has many weird takes.

I have my insight book and keep pausing to look up names. I am extremely embarrassed to admit evidently I know little about King David except highlights. I could not find Nitzevet name , David's mother, listed. I totally missed so much of her story about conceiving David that I'm really confused. I know not to believe what I read except from our publications that explain the Bible but I need help.

It's one of the extra biblical ideas.

Yesterday we watched the first episode. Honestly I thought it would be very loosely based on David's story and would just use it as a excuse to present violence and sex and to present Jehovah's worshipers as fanatics. To my surprise, it was nothing like that. Of course they don't get everything right, but it was reasonably accurate and respectful. I noticed a number of details that show whoever wrote the script read 1 Samuel carefully. Of course that was just episode 1. Let's see how it goes with the next ones.

Like David, I did miss hearing Jehovah's name though.

Sorry not to judge. It is just me, but I have tried over the years not to watch anything biblical that is not JW's.

Same here. I'm afraid that I will see something that isn't accurate and then one day start remembering the wrong information instead of the right information.

CAUTION: The comments above may contain personal opinion, speculation, inaccurate information, sarcasm, wit, satire or humor, let the reader use discernment...:D

The amount of times while trying to explain something to someone and i'm constantly trying to remember which version is right and wrong due to being in mainstream christianity most of my life is overwhelming 🥴
