US Food banks are running low

I volunteer a couple hours a week for the local food bank in our area. I am very limited to what I can do. I am known as a JW to the other volunteers. Today anger broke out with those who were working today. They were extremely upset about the cutbacks that have been happening. Many of the food banks in our area have very limited supplies. I tried to listen and learn more about how the cutbacks were affecting those in our area. One of the volunteers spoke of how food banks are being depleted. 

 

I did not try to provide a witness at this time due to the anger and frustration at what I was hearing. I learned a lot more by listening than speaking. The situation is very dire as many basic services are drastically being reduced or cutback. The USDA supplies a wide variety of nutritious, 100% American-grown foods to food banks through programs like TEFAP, including fruits, vegetables, eggs, meat, poultry, fish, nuts, milk, cheese, and whole-grain and enriched grain products. These programs have had major cutbacks that are now facing legal challenges. 

 

We have several in our area (our brothers and sisters) who utilize food banks.  Here is a guideline for those can use food banks. I have volunteered for the food bank for several months and this is the first time the other volunteers being angry about government cutbacks and how those with limited income will be taken care of. 

 

I only volunteer about once a week, so this will give me time to respond to their anger and keep my political neutrality.

It was on the news here that food banks are being forced to cut the amount of food being distributed as they are struggling to meet demand with less supplies available.

Minimum wage in USA is  between $7 - $15 depending on State.

Minimum wage in Australia is $24.10 AUD 

In both cases those who are on lowest wages struggle with basic living. 

Economic pressure is sign of mismanagement of Satan who simply does not care about people. 

The good news is that Satan is already "fired" and Jehovah soon will remove him permanently. 

And even better news... Satan can not "reapply" for the job. He has really bad job experience.
