Branch or Country Committee

Recommended Posts

How Familiar Are You With Your Country's Branch Committee or Country Committee?

Here in Zambia we have had a number of brothers serving on the branch committee, at least from the 90s to date (The years I came into contact with the truth). For example, from the 90s to somewhere in 2008, we had a five member branch committee, with the following members;

1. Br Edward Finch - Branch Committee Coordinator

2. Br Cyrus Nyangu - Service Department Overseer

3. Br Albert Musonda - Translation Services Overseer

4. Br Dayrell Sharp - Factory Overseer

5. Br Alfred Khey - Bethel Home Overseer

Later on we add an addition of two more brothers in 2008;

1. Br Ian Jefferson, who was working as a desk man and assistant overseer in the service department; and,

2. Br John Musuba, also from the service department.

Later after that, in 2012 two more brothers where added to the branch committee, being;

1. Br Cephas Kalinda, from the translation services department and;

2. Br Thom Owen, a circuit overseer and an instructor of the theocratic schools.

Following that, we have had the addition of the following brothers on the committee in successive years;

1. Br Emmanuel Chiposa, an MTS graduate (now SKE) and later on attended the Gilead School with his wife

2. Br Cameron Thompson a Gilead School graduate

3. Br Kena Kunda, the overseer of the Local Design/Construction (LDC) department and graduates of the 153rd class of Gilead School

4. Br Gilian Chibuye is the latest addition to the branch committee. He recently graduated from the recently Gilead School, being the 157th class.

Of the above number, brother Khye returned back to his native home due to advanced age and of course brother Sharp also is well in advanced age, hence no longer active as he was in the years back.

I would like to hear about your country's branch committee or country committee as well.

Here in the USA we didn't even have a branch committee until 2001.

And over the years since it's establishment, a number of brothers have served on the US branch committee. Of that original number only a few are still serving like brother Harold Corken, Raph Walls, Baltasar Perla and perhaps brother Leon Weaver are still serving on that committee. Lately I have also seen the addition of such brothers like brother Jesse Morris, Griffin Anthony, Breaux Gary and

Ekrann John, who have also shared the responsibilities of serving on the US branch committee
