Tablets !

Recommended Posts

I know that the new tablets are a hit over in the States...but it was noticable that nearly every American deligate used one at the International Convention ! they were taking photos on them everything... I think we all felt a little behind the times in this country and many commented on it, maybe it will also become a normal practice here as well :)

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.

It will! As the technology gets better and better and the competition keeps going at the rate it is, we will see much less costly devices that can do a lot more then we already see! I just helped a friend put the WT Library on a $149 (US) tablet and it does everything a more expensive one does. As countries build up their 3G and 4G networks we will see even more products released that can access the Internet on those networks.

Jehovah's earthly organization is keeping right up with it too! (WOL, Digital downloads, etc)

Exciting times!

Chuck what tablet was it?

This one, which has since dropped to $94! But is now showing "out of stock"

The website has a download for a root & ROM procedure that gives it access to the Android market. It was very easy, just load what you downloaded on an SD card and boot up holding down a couple of buttons, the rest is automatic and worked great!

Is this device compatable for use in South Africa?

I really don't know. Once it's flashed to full Android you should be able to change languages to whatever is offered in the Android operating system. As far as connecting to WiFi, it would be the same as getting a laptop computer.

My friends purchased one for $149, but then they started to really drop the price to clear them out. They went down to $116, the last time I checked and now they are out of stock and the last price before they sold for was $94! Too bad they are now out of them.
