Affinity by Canva for free

Recommended Posts

Affinity by Canva is software for graphic design, photo editing and page layout.
I work a lot with Adobe Illustrator and also with Affinitys software.

Adobes softwares costs a fortune but Affinity have been affordable but now it's for free. They have a pro version that costs money.

Affinity is powerful and beats Adobe Illustrator in many fields, for example Adobe is really bad when it comes to SVG. But Affinity works perfectly with SVG.

I have used Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign and Adobe Illustrator in my work but we are migrating to Affinity because it works better, easier and faster.
So if you are into graphics or photo editing, give Affinity a chance.

I used it for making entrance signs or what it's called with our meeting days and times. List of field service groups and a lot of other signs and documents for KH.

Not sure what area it falls under, but I have been using Inkscape for my graphics needs when they go beyond what Paint can do.

Inkscape is also free and has a plugin for embroidery.

I work often with Canva, but many times I get frustrated as Canva fails to load certain things and I need to reload the whole program again.

Sometimes to finish certain task I need to reload few times within 3-5 hours.

Nothing is perfect, but it's good to know about Affinity.

If I understood correctly this is separated from Canva. So Canva lives on and Affinity is something Canva purchased a while ago.

I am impressed that they managed to squeeze in three program into one. I just checked how much space Adobe uses and I was shocked. Adobe Illustrator takes 3GB, InDesign takes 2GB and Photoshop takes whopping 5.3GB... so totally more than 10GB..

But I just installed the updated affinity yesterday so I am not sure how well everything works and how much space it takes

They recently updated this program. Here is an excellent video that not only explains the updates but basic operation of the program.  I still like using Luminar the best.

From the heavens to the height so true Praise Jah let it flow through you
