We are God’s fellow workers.—1 Cor. 3:9.

The truths of God’s Word have enormous power. By teaching people about Jehovah and what he is truly like, we get to see something wonderful. The blindfold of satanic lies gradually comes off, and these individuals begin to see our beloved Father as we do. They are filled with awe at his limitless power. (Isa. 40:26) They are assured by his perfect justice. (Deut. 32:4) They are enlightened by his profound wisdom. (Isa. 55:9;Rom. 11:33) And they are comforted to learn that he is the personification of love. (1 John 4:8) As they draw close to Jehovah, their hope of living forever as his children becomes sure. What a marvelous privilege we have to help people draw close to their Father! When we do so, Jehovah considers us his “fellow workers.”—1 Cor. 3:5. w24.02 12 ¶15

To be called a fellow worker of Jehovah is not a motivational phrase; it is a reality that shows our place. Jesus had established that understanding. Although he was central to Jehovah’s purpose, he never treated the work as revolving around him. He always directed attention to his Father and to what Jehovah was carrying out.

That example teaches us how to view our role. We are involved, genuinely and meaningfully, but never in control and never at the center.

Paul’s words at 1 Corinthians 3:9, “For we are God’s fellow workers,” shows that balance. Jehovah directs the work, supplies holy spirit, and produces the growth that results. Our part matters, but within limits He sets.

When we keep that perspective, discouragement loses its edge when progress is slow, and pride has no footing when things appear successful. The focus stays where it belongs.

That same view is solidified when we consider who Jehovah is. Isaiah 40:26 reminds us that the One guiding this work also directs the universe with precision. Deuteronomy 32:4 assures us that He judges effort and motive perfectly. Isaiah 55:9 and Romans 11:33 explain why much of His activity unfolds beyond our understanding. And 1 John 4:8 grounds the entire arrangement in love.

When these truths shape our thinking, our role becomes clear: act faithfully, remain humble, and trust the direction being given. That clarity sustains steady service over time.

We are God’s fellow workers.

Comment: What a privilege it is to be called “God’s fellow workers”! By sharing Bible truths, we participate directly in the most important work in the universe: helping people to know and love Jehovah. When we teach about his qualities—power, justice, wisdom, and love—we help remove the veil of deception cast by Satan.

Practical Lesson: We must deeply value our role in the ministry. Every conversation, every Bible study can be the beginning of a spiritual transformation in someone’s life. By maintaining our zeal and preparation, we show Jehovah that we take this privilege seriously and that we desire to be useful instruments in his hands.
