You are in Russia and see officers beating a fellow brother for no reason

Recommended Posts

Do you:

A ) Keep your head down and don't interfere because you have to respect the authorities

B ) Jump to help the brother by trying to push away the officers and flee together

What do you think Jehovah wants us to do in this situation

“Look! I am sending you out as sheep among wolves; so prove yourselves cautious as serpents and yet innocent as doves." --- Mt. 10:16

cautious as serpents: To be cautious here means to be prudent, sensible, shrewd. Zoologists note that most snakes are wary, preferring to flee rather than attack. Likewise, Jesus warns his disciples to remain cautious toward opposers and avoid possible dangers as they carry out their preaching work.

Peter cut off the ear of a man and Jesus said don't do that, put your sword away, and healed the man's ear.

So for me, I'd not physically retaliate or provoke or taunt the officers like a protester as he could call more officers and really do damage. I would try to de-escalate with words and say out loud prayers to Jehovah. I would do my best to give a good report for the brother.

Nothing different than what key men learn in metro.

Now if it's my wife? Someone's going to die! :whistling:🤣 That's my girl and the love of my life. (I'm sorta kidding but not.)
