UNITED NATIONS COLLAPSE?

Recommended Posts

If this were to happen within the next year, how do you think it would affect world events? Especially considering that we have been taught that the UN would move against organized religion.

I am just considering the thought that if this is true, they don't have much time to start their attack on religion. Which would be good news to me. And no, I am not trying to predict, just an interesting thought to me.

Wondering ... looking for recommendations on which news agencies are considered more reliable?

Al Jazeera is actually considered very high quality in terms of both investigative and in-depth journalism. It has won numerous prestigious journalism awards to support its reputation.

I’ve noticed in recent years they’ve said “a coalition of nations” rather than the UN, allowing the possibility that a new alliance or group would be doing the ‘move’ against religion.

I don't think that's possible according to the scriptures. We still believe the UN is the scarlet-colored wild beast because it was struck down and rose again from the League of Nations. It is this beast that eats BtG, not just any old coalition.

We had an article that came out with the new understanding about the one thought (right after the Annual Meeting a few months ago) and it clearly describes the UN as the means of destruction. I don't think there has been or will be an update on this.

It is Jehovah who fulfills prophecies.
If that so-called “imminent collapse” were an indication of a false prophecy about the UN, then Jehovah would be made a liar.

But who wants to make Jehovah a liar? Is it not Satan?

Whatever happens to the UN, Jehovah has things in mind, and in his hands he can maneuver events at the right time.
So whether the UN collapses or not, we will see.

Let us not allow others’ predictions about the UN to affect our trust in Jehovah’s power.

What does the Bible say about the UN?
First, when the League of Nations failed, Jehovah showed that it would become a powerful organization again and would later go to destruction (Revelation 17:8, 11). This understanding came about two to three years before the rise of the UN, when Jehovah’s Witnesses understood this prophecy.

Now, when did we come to understand the one thought about the empowerment of the UN? Was it in 2024? 2025?

Whatever the time, Jehovah always gives us understanding of prophecy before events happen—although sometimes, this understanding becomes clearer while the prophecy is already in the process of being fulfilled.

So whether the UN may collapse or not, again, Jehovah has everything in mind and in hand. He is in control (Proverbs 21:1).

Period.
I’m not worried. Jehovah does things with class.
A mere diversion.

If the UN has to be resurrected, so be it!

I don't think anyone is seeing this news as a negative, but rather a reason the UN could gain power soon.

I personally don't think there's room in prophecy for a complete collapse of the UN, but a restructuring? Maybe. A panic from the Nations? Sure.
