Wow thank you for sharing your music. I have also enjoyed this tool so much. Sharing some of my creations.

I wrote this song to explore the purpose behind the Mosaic Law and the lessons we can still learn from it today. The more I reflected on Hebrews 10:1, the more I appreciated how the Law pointed forward to something greater. Sometimes, looking back helps us understand and appreciate what we have today. Inspired by the daily text.

Lay It Down Before Jehovah

Verse 1

There's a weight I've been carrying,
Seems heavier every day.
I've tried to keep on smiling,
While my strength just slips away.
And sometimes in the silence,
When there's no one else around,
I bow my head and whisper,
“Jehovah, hear me now.”

Verse 2

There are days I wish I had wings,
Like a dove against the sky.
I'd leave these troubles far behind,
Find a peaceful place to hide.
But I know that flying farther
Wouldn't heal what's deep inside.
So instead of running from it,
I turn to God and cry.

Chorus

I'm gonna lay it down before Jehovah,
Every worry, every fear.
He's the One who knows my sorrow,
He's the One who's always near.
When my knees are weak and trembling,
And I don't know what to do,
I'll throw my burden on Jehovah,
'Cause I know he'll see me through.

Verse 3

He never said the road was easy,
Never promised skies of blue.
But he promised he'd sustain me,
Give me strength to make it through.
And when the night seems endless,
When my heart can't find its rest,
I remember who's beside me,
And I know that I am blessed.

Chorus

I'm gonna lay it down before Jehovah,
Every worry, every fear.
He's the One who knows my sorrow,
He's the One who's always near.
When my knees are weak and trembling,
And I don't know what to do,
I'll throw my burden on Jehovah,
'Cause I know he'll see me through.

Bridge

I used to think that being strong
Meant standing on my own.
But even David cried for help
When he felt so all alone.
And if a man Jehovah loved
Could tell him how he felt,
Then maybe strength begins the day
I stop trusting in myself.

Final Chorus

So I'm gonna lay it down before Jehovah,
Every heartache, every tear.
I don't have to face tomorrow
With the weight of all my fears.
He may not take away the mountain,
But he'll give me strength to climb.
I'll throw my burden on Jehovah,
One prayer at a time.

Outro

And if tomorrow brings more sorrow,
I'll know just what to do.
I'll throw my burden on Jehovah...

And trust he'll see me through.

Spoiler

The Wise Man once warned of the making of many books.
Today, the words never end.
But does all this knowledge make us wiser?
His conclusion remains just as important now.

The books increase, the pages grow,
And endless streams of knowledge flow.
The screens now bring the world inside,
With countless voices vying for our eyes.

The news, the shows, the things we share,
The endless claims that fill the air.
Each day another thought appears,
Another voice that calls for our ears.

So, what is truth, and what is wise?
What holds its ground beneath the skies?
The world has words that never cease,
But only truth can bring us peace.

Fear the true God, his commands obey,
Let his Word guide us every day.
For when the searching has been done,
This is the whole of the matter, the one.

So many claims are dressed as fact,
With hidden aims behind the act.
They stir our passions, urge us to choose,
And draw us into sides we must refuse.

Political disputes can cloud our view,
And worldly causes pull us through.
Man's reasoning may sound so wise,
Yet lead our hearts from Bible ties.

So, what is truth, and what is wise?
What holds its ground beneath the skies?
The world has words that never cease,
But only truth can bring us peace.

Fear the true God, his commands obey,
Let his Word guide us every day.
For when the searching has been done,
This is the whole of the matter, the one.

We guard our hearts, we guard our minds,
From worldly views and subtle designs.
No stand, no cause, no human creed,
Can take the place of what we need.

Our loyalty to God comes first,
No human cause can quench that thirst.
We let his Word shape what we do,
Not man's opinions dressed as truth.

The world has more to say each day,
More arguments to pull us away.
But truth is not in endless words,
Nor in the claims that man prefers.

One source of wisdom will remain,
A sure foundation through the strain.
When all the voices fade from view,
Jehovah's Word will still be true.

So, what is truth, and what is wise?
What holds its ground beneath the skies?
The world has words that never cease,
But only truth can bring us peace.

Fear the true God, his commands obey,
Let his Word guide us every day.
For when the searching has been done,
This is the whole of the matter, the one.

But the Wise Man's conclusion has not changed.
Fear the true God...
And keep his commandments.
That is the whole obligation we each must do.
