Seeking Reliable Zoom/JW Library Dual-Monitor Setup

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I know there’s been much discussion on this topic but I haven’t seen anything recently.

We’re currently using Zoom and JW Library on a Windows PC with two monitors in our Kingdom Hall. We recently installed JWLMediaWin to work around occasional media-window minimization issues, but we’d prefer to continue using standard JW Library if possible.

We have two questions:

Has anyone found a reliable solution to prevent the JW Library media window from minimizing, disappearing, or moving unexpectedly when using Zoom with a dual-monitor setup?

When using JWLMediaWin, the monitor identification numbers (“1” or “2”) briefly appear on the second display when starting a Zoom screen share. Since that display is shown on our Kingdom Hall TVs, we’d like to avoid the audience seeing those numbers. Has anyone found a way around this?

Our goal is simply to have the cleanest and most reliable setup possible for meetings. We’d appreciate hearing what has worked for others.

We don't use JWLMediaWin.  Have you turned off the zoom setting "Show green borders ..." (under share screen setting)

I minimise the second zoom window after launching.  Only restore it when needed, and afterward minimise again, restore JW Library window.

Yes we have turned the green box off, which helps a lot. But still see the large number.

Before we downloaded jwlmediawin, sometimes things would work fine but many times we seemed to have no control over keeping jwl media screen in the right place. Even admitting someone into zoom during the first song could steal the screen from our Kingdom Hall tvs

You can't allow any Zoom windows to launch on or go onto the monitor with JW Library to prevent the minimizing. During the times you have to use dual monitor mode in Zoom settings, this is basically inevitable and you have to deal with it on the fly. You might try double clicking the JW Library second screen when it goes into Exclusive Full Screen mode on the second monitor to take it out of Full Screen Mode, then Maximizing it. There's not much to be done about it otherwise.
I don't remember how to get rid of the display numbers. :<
