Decisions making

I am really confused brothers and sisters to choose a job I am actually a pioneer but I want to apply for a receptionist job in a clinic, they are ready to take me or accept me, I should work from Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm in the evening and I want to use enough time in the ministry two days is not enough for me I have prayed about to choose the job but still I am confused I don't really understand what to do again weather to leave the job or not because I want to leave the job and started a small business😞

I don't understand, finishing your job at 4pm gives you plenty of time to preach in the evening everyday.

In my congregation, people preach from 6pm because they finish their work at 5pm

How nice that you are taking your time to make sure you make a good decision. This is one of those where there is no law but principles that apply so two different individuals can make a different decision and still be right. I know many who work full time and then every evening (except meeting night) go out in service 2 hours and then 4 hours on Saturday and it works for them. I also know other friends who got burned out doing that and transitioned to part time work. It will all depend on your personal circumstances, energy levels and other responsibilities. We will keep you in our prayers, we are sure Jehovah will help you make a good decision. we always say: "look for a job that supports your service and Jehovah will support you"

Hi Brother Lewis,

 

There have been many brothers/sisters who have deeply desired to Regular Pioneer like you.  

 

However for those who have no choice but to work full-time, then it takes much wisdom and modesty to know whether or not pioneering is possible.

 

Jehovah is glad if we can serve full-time.  

But Jehovah is also glad if we cannot serve full-time but do what we can within our circumstances.

 

However, Jehovah does not want us to serve him without modesty, being exhausted, too tired and with no joy. So if we try to pioneer full-time, but we have a full-time job, plus we have other important family responsibilities, would it be modest to pioneer?  Would we have enough time and energy to do personal study, prepare well for all meetings, care for other responsibilities, etc? 

 

However, some who may have the circumstances and energy to work full-time and pioneer full-time can do what @Dages suggested above --- going out in the ministry in the evenings after work and on weekends. 

 

Here is another suggestion you could consider:

Some who want to regular pioneer but need to work full time have tried this:

• Accepted the full-time job
• Applied to Auxiliary Pioneer to see if they could easily meet the hour requirements
• If it was easy to meet the Auxiliary requirements after many months, then
• apply to Regular Pioneer!!!

Not everyone has the circumstances to do both. Energy levels, health, family responsibilities etc may prevent them from going on the ministry at those times. 
 

or they may live in an area where there are no arrangements and it’s not safe to go out solo 🤷‍♀️
