I ask this because usually the brothers who wear them at a convention or assembly only wear them once or for a while. Then they stop wearing them completely. It's as if their conscience is bothering them, or someone called them out, or they lost it. But the fact is that few wear them; it's rare to see someone wearing a ring. And when they do, they stop wearing them over time. In the case of the Governing Body, the information I have, and that a Superintendent passed on to me, is that they are graduation rings. That's how some brothers here think. But again, nobody here is bothered or judging, but we can't help but notice when something unusual appears. This weekend an elder was wearing a ring. I have no problem with that. But it had been a while since I'd seen that. That's why I brought up this subject. For me, this issue is resolved. Thank you very much.  

 

I live in the Western United States. But men wear jewelry all over the world - wedding rings, school rings, metal ID bracelets, neck wear of different styles.

 

I bought my son a leather and silver bracelet for his wedding with his name on it and an engraved message inside. It looks very handsome and he loves it 🥰

 

I notice you translate from Portuguese- neither Brazil nor Portugal would come to my mind as particularly conservative cultures in regards to dress and grooming. But maybe I'm wrong.. no offense intended 💐

A wedding ring is normal. But a ring is very rare. In the last 6 years, which is the time I've been in this congregation, I only remember seeing 3 brothers here wearing rings. Two of them stopped wearing them. The other one was the one I saw last week. But nothing against it, it's just strange to me.

In my country men only wear wedding rings and smart rings. It’s more common to see a man with an earring than a ring (that is not a wedding ring).

Just wanted to add: This is where I truly love and appreciate the Broadcasts. In particular, the Postcards from different countries. Don't they open our minds and hearts to variety? I've always lived in areas with mixed cultures but with the Postcards, wow, it just added to the very little, it turns out, that I knew. So, with this discussion, it helps me to accept the nuances of our brotherhood. Rings or no rings. Skin toned stockings or none. 😂 😆
