Chicken and dressing and homemade dinner rolls

Recommended Posts

I am trying to make chicken and dressing for my family this week.(too scared to try a turkey just yet) Does anyone have any recipes for homemade dressing, not stuffing? My grandmother used to make it for the family when we all would get together and it was the best thing on the table. I could make a meal out of just the dressing. When she passed she took her amazing cooking with her. I have tried things in the past, but they just don't come close to what that amazing woman would create.

And who can help me out with a recipe for dinner rolls. You know the kind that has real yeast and are slightly sweet, but not too much, because you don't want that flavor to overpower the gravy you're sopping up.

Ultimately, I'm looking for someone to help me with some good southern down home cooking.

I am not sure about Southern Cooking sorry. Grandma's knew how to cook and bake. Didn't they.

We have, well its past on From my mum.

Appricot Chicken.

You get some chicken pieces. For however meny people you will be providing for.

Some tinned appricots and appricot juice and

Some french onion soup mixes and add the packets, With onion and garlic cook in the oven together with the chicken til nice and soft and falls of the bone.

Serve with rice or potatoes and salad.

There is another marinade or dressing. Olive oil, oregano. garlic. honey. & lemon juice and you mix the dressing together and pour it over the chicken and while it is still cooking.

You need to have enough marinade to keep basting the chicken.

Or there is a Honey, soy Chicken which most like at BBQ'S down my way.

Need 3 good heaps honey, Soy sauce, a big blub of Garlic, ginger and sweet chilli sauce & Soy or peanut Oil and mx it together in a seperate bowl then Marinade in the Fridge overnight..

Cook the Chicken til nice almost dark and kinda Crispy.
