Cooking A Frozen Turkey

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever cooked a turkey from it's frozen state? I am doing that right now. I bought this 12 pound turkey for next to nothing and wanted to cook it before tomorrow so I am baking it at 325* for 5 1/2 hours....that's what I read on the net...I don't know anyone whose done it but I couldn't get the little plastic thing that holds the legs together out...I wonder if that's heat resistant?

LOL--it is heat resistant--don't worry. There are also plastic pop out thermometers with a red dot in the middle. It is too bad you do not have a Nuwave--you can cook anything from a frozen solid state in a very short amount of time and it retains all its juices and does not dry out.

I've never heard of a nuwave, I'll have to look that up.Thanks for the info....hey what do you do with that bag of stuff that comes in the turkey?

Find someone you don't like and hide it in the trunk of their car! :)

Now where do such ornery ideas come from....lol...good thing the truth helps temper such thoughts...
