My trip to Bargara

Over the holidays I took a trip south to Bargara Beach.

I met some very interesting people!

And I have some photos to share.

Oh dear - I keep trying to upload photos, but I end up with the dreaded message = connection problems.

Do I use the function "Attach a file" ?

That's what I've been trying.

And now I've looked at my photos and a number of them are larger than 1000KB.

Is there something I can do about this?

OK - here goes!

This is the 'beach' just down from Lyn and Dieter's place.

It's all lava rock.

Yayyyyyyyy - I got it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And this is Buddy - he just seemed to blend into the rocks!

We got him from a Return Visit.

She was dying from cancer - we said we'd take him in.

She died 2 weeks later.

But Buddy's luvin' life!

OK - now it's people time!

That's Lyn and myself in the back.

In front is Rose and Gaby.

We just met that day and got on like a house on fire !!!!

(Rose and Gaby are Mother and Daughter living south of Sydney)

And this one is Tori, me, Lyn, Nina, Leonie.

We are fam-i-ly.

I got all my sisters with me..

We had a barbecue on the beach.

Maria (from Brisbane), Tori, Wayne (Leonie's hubby), Lyn and her hubby Dieter.

And I couldn't leave this one out.

I had 3 prawns on my plate and went to make seafood sauce for them.

Came back in - the last prawn was in Buddy's mouth !!

OK - this wasn't on this particular trip - but it's at a beach south of us.

Gorgeous beaches - beautiful clear blue water - coral right up to the beach.

It's Bowen - the town they used to film the movie 'Australia'. (part of it was filmed in Darwin)

Oh dear - just realised I made a mistake in the first picture of the sisters.

In the front row are Rose and Lyn, and in the back are Gaby and myself.

You are awesome for sharing your photo's. I particularly enjoyed Buddy. You are so blessed to have this little shrimp stealer! I had the same thing happen with Chester (Bishon) when we adopted him, I got up to get the salt and he hopped up on my chair and started gulping down my breakfast!! He came to us so damaged I couldn't yell at him, so he ate eggs and potatoes and I had cereal.

I wish more bro's and sis's would share like you did so we can enjoy their part of the globe. Maybe we can start a thread where we can post 3 or 4 pictures of places close to us or with family, congregation or on a vacation, that way we can enjoy each others' world. You are completely on the other side of the world from me and I got to see a bit of life (and people) where you're at. Thanks.
