We buy and sell gemstone jewellery in a small amount in our Antique shop. Another lady in the Antique Centre makes natural semi-precious stone and gem jewellery.One of my favourites is Alexandrite. It seems deep purple then goes emerald colour in daylight and ruby colour in candle light, depending on the quality. Colour changes in this stone are dramatic depending on the type of light shone on them:

I love the Grand Canyon for that reason. The colors do change so amazingly. And alexandrite is another real pretty one. One of my favorites. So Chris, happy anniversary. Did you do anything special or fun or made him cook and do the dishes lol? Do you have a photo of your new ring to show off? I imagine in new system we will have plenty of gems to explore and collect.

Angela we went out to dinner on the 29th becuz our meeting was on the 30th. Went to Carrabbas Italian Grill. I LOVE their Chicken Bryan which has a butterfly whole chicken breast grilled and very tender and juicy. It is topped with goat cheese in a sun-dried tomato, lemon, basil sauce over top with Fettuccine on the side. YUM!!!!! It was nice.

 

Helen I love, love, love color change gemstones. Julie had a great Alexandrite that was purple and greenish pink. Just so cool how that works. Isn't Jehovah clever? He made all that just for us you know. It pleased him so much to make it and then tell his son, "Watch their faces when they see what this will do!" LOL They love seeing our reactions to his creations as much as we love watching little kids when they make cool discoveries. Gems are just fascinating to me. Rocks blow me away all the time. I want to find rocks that harbor Quartz inside. How wonderful was it when the first person made that discovery???? Break open a rock and find treasures inside!
