  1. We only have around 40 connected at any one meeting so I'm able to see everyone on the one screen. We don't ask a brother to monitor and then unmute/mute those commenting - these brothers can't really concentrate on the spiritual food if they have to do that all the time. We simply ask the congregation to wave their hand in front of their cameras and then unmute/mute themselves again. It works perfectly fine. Everyone knows the drill now 🙂
  2. Thanks for that. I might reset my Shield to update it to 8.0.2. soon, so I'll have a look at Sideload launcher... 👍
  3. Thanks for all the replies. So am I right in thinking the app won't auto update? I'd have to re-install if I wanted to update it? Also, the only way for it to appear in my app drawer is to use Sideload Launcher? TIA 🙂
  4. What often helps to improve your internet connection is to disconnect all the devices (you won't be using during the meeting) in your home that are connected to your Wi-Fi before any Zoom meeting. Also, rebooting your router each week can help too.
  5. Just to ask if it's possible to run JW Library on Android TV? I've got a NVidia Shield that runs Android TV, but there's no sign of the Library in the official store... TIA ☺️
  6. But you only have the option to see up to 49 participants if you have an i7 CPU (or AMD equivalent I think). If not, it will be greyed out...
  7. The processor is fine. Check to see what the screen resolution is (this one is HD so most likely a low resolution). For a 15.6" screen best to go for a full HD one which is 1920x1080. Also, make sure it's an IPS panel, not a TN type. This doesn't have a SSD hard drive (at least I don't think it does). Far better to get a laptop with a SSD drive. Then see what the quality of the webcam is like. It makes a big difference when using Zoom and all the other video conference programs. Hope that helps a little 🙂
  8. If you can get a laptop/machine with an i7 CPU, that helps to be able to see up to 49 participants per screen. A godsend if you're conducting a Q&A part!!!
  9. Thanks for the info. I'll give it a shot tomorrow ;-)
  10. Yes, I've tried that a number of times. Other times I let it start updating by itself
  11. I've looked but I can't see any WTL program or process open
  12. I'm afraid I don't - it's a fresh install of Win 10. I tried the suggestions above but nada... :-(
  13. I keep trying to apply update 7 but I get the message that it has failed. Each time it asks for me to close any other instances of the WTL and try again. Could anyone send me the link to the update which I can apply manually, please? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks :-)
  14. Me too brother, please. It would be real help. Many thanks :-)
  15. I'm missing the public WT and study WT for March (the simple WT is there), but have the public & study editions for April. Anyone else with this problem?
  16. Give our love (Nathan & Mari from Gibraltar) to Ishmael & Maxine Portelli. I think they're still serving there. Have fun!
  17. Does anyone have a copy of the schedule of the yearly Bible reading that's in CHRONOLOGICAL order? My printed copy is worn out... Many thanks :-)
  18. I've had problems lately with this app. On just one of my tablets (Note 10.1) the Jan issues have downloaded OK. On the others some are missing and on my phone NONE have come through - most strange. Also, I can't change the language of the Bible in the app anymore (I used to be able to change the language to Spanish which was handy when conducting a study in that language) I don't know whether anyone has contact with the developer? I sent a message to him a while ago but he never got back to me...
