  1. This news is surprising and somewhat disappointing indeed. When reading this I can’t help but to think about last weeks bible study...😕
  2. It’s a result of warming oceans resulting from air pollutants (Co2, methane, etc). Manmade, not naturally occurring
  3. Yes, research “Arctic Methane Time Bomb”/Clathrate Gun”. I posted a link to this story a few weeks ago on this thread. Troubling stuff.
  4. I still think P&S proclamation will stem from The UN 2030 Agenda, which encompasses addressing climate change: https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/post2015/transformingourworld https://jwtalk.net/topic/22264-2030-–-a-significant-“deadline”-year-in-un’s-quest-to-achieve-global-peace-security/
  5. The “Arctic Methane Time Bomb”/Clathrate Gun seems to have started. Wow...this is a big deal. Not much time left...on this side of the system. https://www-m.cnn.com/2019/10/12/us/arctic-methane-gas-flare-trnd/index.html?r=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2F

  8. Hey, Miami has plenty of coastal properties they are looking to flip before the ocean snatches them up. You might be able to get a great deal on a few. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/29/climate-gentrification-is-changing-miami-real-estate-values.html
  9. These questions have been answered extensively by the climate science community. What research have you done to address these questions of yours?
  10. Well anyways...back to climate change FACTS and NEWS: CNN - Great Barrier Reef headed for ‘massive death’
  11. I would encourage you to look up the term “mass extinction event”. You will quickly find out that such extinction events can take tens of thousands of years to play out. So do you also not believe that some catalyst triggered the eventual extinction of the dinosaurs? That’s what ALL the paleontologists believe, and it also sounds like that’s what you believe. If you think God killed them off once they served their purpose, isn’t that a “mass extinction event”??? See my recent reply to a similar implication as yours. What political movement am I involved in again??? What does posting climate change news and facts have to do with politics? I’m confused... Hey I understand that with that awesome Convention we just had, along with recent Watchtower studies, ones may be hypersensitive to anything that may have had a political spin put on it. But to imply I may have the mark of the wild beast is pretty serious. Careful now! 🤨 Again, see my recent post to a similar accusation as yours. Wow! 😮
  12. I only assumed that you believe dinosaurs once existed and are now extinct due to some trigger event that caused them to become extinct. I think it’s a stretch to think that’s an excessive amount of “assuming”. Did I assume incorrectly that you agree with that premise regarding dinosaurs? These are not at all my conclusions. There is a 97% scientific consensus. I repeat...97%. I am not a scientist. Question: If 97 MDs diagnosed you with heart disease, and 3 did not detect heart disease, would you give the 97 equal weighting as the mere 3? I would hope not as that would be an illogical, mathematically flawed conclusion. My “Fox News” statement is based on my personal observation and based on surveys conducted by independent research firms that have been able to quantify this. I have no connection to “opinion news”. And “guard your neutrality”??? Are you implying I may have the mark of the wild beast because I concur with overwhelming scientific data? 😂 Hey, I can’t help a certain party has chosen to politicize this subject...that has nothing to do with me. Anything can be politicized. We’re seeing the consequences of mismanagement of natural resources play out in real time. You can now SEE the effects with your own eyes. This was prophesied by Jesus as recorded in the Gospels and by John in Revelation. Finally...something we both agree on 😁
  13. David, I would encourage you to google “Greenhouse Effect”, anthropogenic climate change, Anthropecene/Holocene (since you mentioned “dinosaurs”, I will assume you believe that they once existed and are now extinct due to a mass extinction event). As I’m sure you know, when the phrase “climate change” is used in contemporary vernacular, disruption of natural climate cycles due to human activity is implied. To your point, over periods of thousands of years scientific research has confirmed that the earth, like so many other natural earth cycles, has slow moving climatic cycles that takes many thousands of years. The scientific bodies that conducted the research confirming natural climate cycles that you referred to, are the same bodies saying that humans are disrupting natural climate cycles as a result of gigatons of air pollutants being emitted into the atmosphere annually for decades. These pollutants are artificially warming the planet and disrupting the natural climate cycles that God put in place. Because humans have changed the chemistry of the planet, we are seeing a significant uptrend in erratic, extreme weather around the globe. This has been statistically proven - fact. Ive noticed that the few that have chosen to deny such basic science and overwhelming evidence that the earth is currently warming faster than anytime in the planet’s history, are watching Fox News and the like. Propaganda is powerful.
  14. Boy... 2018 has seen some of the worst climate and weather related devastation, and we still have over 4 months to go! To make things worse, scientists are forecasting a 2019-2020 El Niño event. May experience a Blue Ocean Event in the Arctic by September of 2019-2020. I also don’t see what’s remaining of the coral reef systems surviving through another El Niño event similar to 2015-2016. The nations are going to have to form a global alliance soon (P&S) to make a best efforts attempt to save themselves from themselves. But of course we know what happens from there. The Guardian: More than 324 people have died in the worst flooding in nearly a century in the south Indian state of Kerala. From article: The Kerala chief minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, said the state was experiencing an “extremely grave” crisis, with the highest flood warning in place in 12 of its 14 regions. “We’re witnessing something that has never happened before in the history of Kerala,” he told reporters. The toll in Kerala contributed to more than 900 deaths recorded by the Indian home ministry this monsoon season from landslides, flooding and rain. Officials estimated about 6,000 miles (10,000km) of roads had been submerged or buried by landslides and a major international airport in Cochin has been shut until 26 August. Meteorologists said Kerala had received an average 37.5% more rainfall than usual. The hardest-hit districts such as Idukki in the north received 83.5% excess rain.
  15. All this thanks to human-induced climate change. See “worst in a century” floods in India this week. We’re in the midst of a planetary crisis. Watch nations get to together soon to address this. Perhaps P&S cry once they join hands to make an all out attempt to save the planet.
  16. Just so happened to come across this story. 😢This is horrible... https://www.google.com/amp/s/abc7chicago.com/amp/west-humboldt-park-victim-fatally-shot-on-way-to-romeoville-convention/3773297/
  17. Ok, a few things: - we’re barely halfway through 2018. - what is the article’s definition of a “climate-related disaster”? - what about 2017 and previous years? 2017 U.S. billion-dollar weather and climate disasters: a historic year in context
  18. Answer to #1: Put their faith and hope in Jehovah and His Kingdom as the only solution to humankind’s problems. Answer to #2: Put our faith and hope in Jehovah and His Kingdom as the only solution to humankind’s problems.
