Duck Legs with couscous and salad

Recommended Posts

This is what I am making for dinner this evening.

Duck legs roasted in the oven served on a small bed of couscous - 100g for two of us, cutting down on carbs! - soaked in a chicken stock and then with sliced spring onion forked through. Maybe a little ras-el-hanout spice in the stock.

Side salad too.  Mmmmm

Sounds pretty awesome Christopher.

Have you got room for one more at your dinner table?

Duck is pretty delectable. I roasted one sometimes ago. But servee with potatoes and pumpkin.

But they are a treat to buy. How much do they coast you to buy?

In ny area they are $24. For a decent size.

But that while feed a family compared to a chicken

I buy duck legs or duck breasts from the supermarket (Gressingham Duck) and 3 legs costs £4. Two duck breasts would be about £7 so quite expensive.  I look for bargains where I can.

It's hard to find a butcher in our area who sells duck (and some is shot and not properly bled).

When we were in Czech Republic a brother gave a duck to the brother who we were staying with and it was delicious. Served 4 of us for two meals.  My wife and I love it.
