Pope Francis has called for a day of fasting and prayer for peace in Syria, in the entire Mideast region, and throughout the whole world to be held this coming Saturday, September 7th, 2013. Speaking ahead of the traditional Angelus prayer with pilgrims gathered in St Peter’s Square this Sunday, Pope Francis said, “On [saturday] the 7th of September, here [in St Peter’s Square], from 7 PM until midnight, we will gather together in prayer, in a spirit of penitence, to ask from God this great gift [of peace] for the beloved Syrian nation and for all the situations of conflict and violence in the world.” The Holy Father also invited non-Catholic Christians and non-Christian believers to participate in ways they feel are appropriate. Listen to our report: MP3

“Never again war!” said Pope Francis. “We want a peaceful world,” he said, “we want to be men and women of peace.”

Pope Francis also issued a forceful condemnation of the use of chemical weapons. “There is the judgment of God, and also the judgment of history, upon our actions,” he said, “ [judgments] from which there is no escaping.”

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)

Sounds a like a Pope with a Heart, I know we are to stay neutral etc,

Interesting request he has made. The ball has to get started somewhere?

He is correct when he says there will be no escaping,
Jehovah has to be soon step in.

I guess the scriptures are being fulfilled when they speak both day and night they will keep praising & speaking & perhaps praying for God's kingdom to take over.

"It's a known fact that eighty decibels of rushing water is one of the most pleasing sounds known to mankind. On other hand, ten and a half days at sea is enough water for anybody."

Yes - the judgment of God, and also the judgment of history, upon our actions  - there is that isn't there...not looking good for the Catholic Church - no escaping for them.

Keep sticking your nose in and you WILL get your judgment!

Jehovah has already judged Babylon the Great, there is no escaping her destruction, even though she 'sits a queen".
