I noticed it when saw it on TV.   In the Original King James - Jehovah is spelt IEHOUAH - many used V & U interchangeably and the J was imported from German,( and J used in later KJB of 1700's ), where it is pronounced as a Y - in German that is :uhhuh:

It was pronounced Y in early English also, before we got ourselves an awesome J sound in the mid 1600's :)
