Warning--Totally addicting!

One of the ladies that comes in brought a snack for me to try.  She thought it was delicious and I have to agree.  When you make it you will be licking the beaters, the spoon, the bowl, before you even get to spreading it on crackers.  It will even call your name from the fridge late at night.  You may have tried this before but it was the first time for me.

 

8 oz cream cheese

8 oz finely grated cheddar

1/2 bell pepper minced oh so fine

3 green onions chopped tiny (whites and greens)

1/2 C crushed pineapple in its own juice

1/2 jar diced pimento (mostly drained but reserve juice in case you need to thin it down or add more cheese

1 tsp saltbush (she had never heard of it but said she just used a little salt and Cavenders Greek seasoning)

 

Place it in a food processor if in a hurry or just follow the above--has more of a texture than a spread if you mince and stir.  It was really an excellent cheese spread.

   I agree. I was looking for a recipe on the internet for a good chees ball and found one very similar to that, only

minus the ingrediants  you mentioned. I'm going to make one up after my next shopping trip. The only things I

plan to change is I'm going to get thinly sliced pastrami that I can further slice and put in the ball. Then I want to

get some crushed walnuts to cover the outside.  And like Leslie says, I expect it will be calling my name from the

refrigerator.

My wife makes this once in a while. Nice change up put on sea food sauce and spread a can of flaked crab meat on top. Then pour some thawed salad shrimp on. Man is that ever good. I don't put either on crackers I serve them with a bowl of tortilla chips and have at it lol. Its an awesome treat.
