Book reviews

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I would like to post a review of an interesting book dealing with the early history of Jehovah's Witnesses. The review includes a video presentation from Youtube and a link to purchase the book.

I am not the author of the book nor have any relation with it, I just think it's interesting.

I have been unable to find the forum policy regarding book reviews that include advertizing of them. Is it allowed?

On the other hand, in case it is allowed, when you watch the video, Youtube automatically suggests other videos related to Jehovah's Witnesses, many of which are, of course, apostate propaganda. I am afraid there's no way I can prevent those suggestions from appearing. How do you handle this kind of situation?

Thanks!

Carlos, how does this book compare to the Proclaimers book. Can we trust all that is posted in it? What did you think of it and does it add to what we already know?

Hi Deenna.

This book is ok. It's a very detailed historical research about Russell and others who had a role in our early history. It contains a lot of information and pictures that have never been published before. Information from our own publications as well as newspapers, archives and the like. It's quite different from the Proclaimers book because it doesn't intend to tell our whole history, but it concentrates on a very specific period. Besides, it's not a book defending or attacking Jehovah's Witnesses, it's just a history book.

I was thinking that in case publishing this post is ok, I should better send it without the link to the Youtube presentation, since it seems there's no way to exclude apostate rubbish from being suggested by Youtube.
