Jehovah is at the Window

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. And he

was given a slingshot to play with. He practiced in the woods, but he

could never hit his targets.

Getting a little discouraged; he headed back for dinner. As he was

walking back, he saw Grandma's pet duck. Just on an impulse, he let the

slingshot fly. He hit the duck square in the head, and killed it. He

was shocked and grieved. In a panic, he hid the dead duck in a wood

pile, only to see his sister watching.

Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing. After lunch that day

Grandma said, 'Sally, let's wash the dishes.' But Sally said, 'Grandma,

Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen.' Then she whispered to

him, 'Remember the duck?' So Johnny did the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and

Grandma said, 'I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper.' But

Sally just smiled and said, 'Well, that's all right because Johnny told me

he wanted to help.' She whispered again, 'Remember the duck?' So Sally

went fishing and Johnny stayed to help.

After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's, he

finally couldn't stand it any longer. He came to Grandma and confessed

that he had killed the duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug, and

said, 'Sweetheart, I know. I was standing at the window and I saw the

whole thing. But I love you son. I forgave you. I was just wondering

how long you were going to let Sally make you her slave.'

Moral:

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done that Satan keeps

throwing up in your face, remember - Jehovah was standing at the window

and He saw the whole thing. He was just wondering how long you would

let Satan make a Slave of you.

The Great thing about Jehovah is that He not only forgives you, but He

forgets.

Hi

Sister Tirshatha,

Thanks for the nice illustration

This particular part of the illustration really touched me but in another way:

Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug, and

said, 'Sweetheart, I know. I was standing at the window and I saw the

whole thing. But I love you son. I forgave you.

Sometimes I just am so saddened by the things I do wrong or things I don't do for Jehovah :depressed:

Not major sins but other things.

And so when I took Grandma's words here and

thought of my Father Jehovah watching me like a Grandma would "watch" her Grandson, I developed tears

as I thought of my Father saying this to me,

"Sweetheart, I know what you have done. I was watching you the entire time and I saw not only the things you did wrong

and the things you weren't able to do for me,

but I also saw how bad you felt not wanting to hurt me in any way!

And I also was watching and saw that the things you did wrong were not done on purpose or intentional, but were just mistakes.   . So remember, I love you so much!

And I already forgave you!"

If this is how my Father watches me, Wow   :uhhuh:

"Create in me a pure heart, O God, And put within me a new spirit, a steadfast one" (PS 51:10)

Dear Brother, I know firsthand the measure of undeserved kindness and mercy our Father extends to us all. These days Satan wants us to feel unworthy and we truly are, that is why it is UNDESERVED. But Jehovah wants to heal our hearts, and does so, if we let Him. You are so welcome.
