Headstones are being stolen from cemeteries in South Africa!

This reminds me of the first house my wife and I moved into.  It was owned by the local authority, and the previous tenant was a Council worker who worked in the Parks and Cemeteries Dept. He had built a stone fireplace in the living room, but the Council had it removed before we moved in.  The workmen told us that it had been made from stone from local graves, and the non-facing sides still had inscriptions on them!!!!
