Just wanted to share this sale for those who would like a Roku to watch JW Broadcasting. It's normally $49.99 so $28 is a good deal. This will also work on older TV's which don't have an HDMI input.

Thanks for the information, but it says "out of stock" online, but at a local store here for $48.00 it is available.

My apologies. I see that it's not available for shipping but you can pay online and pick up in your local store if it's in stock there. It's available at all my local stores. Hopefully it will be available for others too.

Here online, where a product is no longer available due to being out of stock there's no option to purchase and pick up at the store for the same price.

Really? That's great! I tried to do that in September buying two mini iPads but they wouldn't. I ended up having to order them online and wait around for 45 minutes while they "processed" the order.

Either way its a good price for it.  Waiting on a sister who is very ill, to see if she can have roku without internet.  She and her husband have not been able to watch new JW Broadcasting since its been out.  I offered them my Roku, but she has to find out if it will work without Internet service.  (I don't even know myself) mine is connected to my computer and tv.   For that price $28.00 or $48.00 is good!  Better then Roku 3, which cost $110.00 (with taxes).

The answer is NO the Roku will NOT work without Internet. It is an Internet Streaming Device - Live Internet connection is required - and it needs to be of sufficient speed and band with, like DSL or Cable - dial-up will not work.
