Prison Break

Recommended Posts

I tried looking it up. There is a 1938 movie, a current TV series, and a 2009 rather unknown movie called The Final Break.

Which of these, if any, we're you referring to? I haven't seen any of them, btw.

Hi Brother Obed,

I remember the TV series "Prison Break" came out in the U.S. some years ago.

The idea/plot of the story in the previews seemed interesting.

But I have noticed that most of time when there is a movie

or a TV show that takes place inside a prison, it has more extreme scenes of immorality and violence.

So I try to stay away from modern "prison" movies.

I am not sure why a brother or sister would "recommend" such a TV series to you

that has such violence and immorality?

But I guess all of us are influenced by this world and our consciences

may sometimes permit things that are bad.

It is hard for most of us to recommend any movie or TV show these days because there

are not many shows that are clean and do not have scenes that are immoral or violent.

We might think that TV shows are safer because there are no "R ratings" and no nudity is permitted.

But some TV companies/producers still try to show everything possible of immoral scenes only leaving the nudity

to our imagination!  Sex sells, violence sells, this is what the world wants.

Most clean and moral movies are boring to the world.

I thought this was a real good point below.

Think about it. A single photograph may move us to anger, tears, joy.

Music too stirs our emotions profoundly.

Words, even on the printed page, make us think, feel, and act.

What power there is when moving pictures, music, and spoken words are skillfully woven together!

No wonder television is so seductive!

I use Common Sense Media when making a decision regarding entertainment. It's more thorough and more reliable, IMO, than the ratings published by the MPAA, Motion Picture Association of America.

I'm not sure which organization handles ratings for movies in Ghana, but you will probably find Common Sense Media to be beneficial to you.

I tried watching a few episodes but like most shows it goes downhill after a short time..They make it good long enough to get you roped in, then the subtle things begin and next episode catches you off guard lol - (my experience with many series.)

I live in a temporary reality- awaiting the day I wake up to life in the real world!
