Daily Mail Today/Jan 11, 2015:

Obama will hold a 'global security summit' in Washington to fight the rise of Islamic extremism

President Barack Obama will invite allies to a Feb. 18 security summit in Washington to try and prevent violent extremism, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said on Sunday after meeting his European counterparts in Paris.  The gathering of justice and interior chiefs came as France mourned 17 victims of Islamist gunmen this week in the worst assault on its homeland security in decades.  'We will bring together all of our allies to discuss ways in which we can counteract this violent extremism that exists around the world,' Holder told reporters.

He also stressed that 2015 must be a year for global action. “We must change course if we are to avoid even greater damage to ourselves and to our planet,” said Mr. Ban, explaining that like the gathered leaders, he too must emphasize the importance of his mandate, and, as UN Secretary-General, he must spotlight 2015 as “most important and crucial for humanity.”

This is because there are three important priorities that must be achieved during the year, which also marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations: making the final push to achieve the landmark UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); crafting a post-2015 development agenda with a set of sustainable development goals; and agreeing on a universal and meaningful climate change agreement in December in Paris.

With all this in mind, the Secretary-General said the world had a very important enabling factor that would help in reaching those objectives: the upcoming UN conference on financing for development, set to be held in July in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. That and other meetings throughout the year would aim at mutually reinforcing goals: to map out a new era of development that strengthens equity and fosters inclusive growth and climate action.

On the margins of the Summit, the Secretary-General met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mr. Ban thanked India for its significant contribution to UN peacekeeping operations, as well as to the Organizations conflict prevention and humanitarian efforts. The two also discussed, among others, the need for action on climate change, the post-2015 development agenda, and regional issues.

The UN chief also met with United States Secretary of State John Kerry, and the two leaders discussed international peace and security issues, including UN efforts to address the crisis in Libya, the urgency of returning to negotiations to achieve a two state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the need for progress on nuclear disarmament of the Korean Peninsula.

Just a funny thought, nothing serious I just find this interesting ^_^

2014 was the 100 year anniversary of Jehovah's Kingdom, now 2015 is the 70th anniversary of Satan's organization.... O.O He always has to be two steps behind, huh?

Also,Seven is used frequently in the Scriptures to signify completeness. At times it has reference to bringing a work toward completion. Or it can refer to the complete cycle of things as established or allowed by God.

And 7x10 = 70

Ten is a number denoting fullness, entirety, the aggregate, the sum of all that exists of something. It may be noted also that, where the numbers seven and ten are used together, the seven represents that which is higher or superior and ten represents something of a subordinate nature.

we certainly seem to have entered a new phase. After these latest terrorist attacks in Paris, all the political news is full of rhetoric against extremism and a cry for the world governments to do something about it and It no longer seems such a big leap to destroy false religion! It just reminds us how quick world events can change and be turned completely upside-down. Will this year prove to be the final stretch leading up to the cry of 'Peace and Security'? We can only watch with bated breath as world leaders try desperately to stop the world descending into chaos! Thanks be to Jehovah that we have the hope and know the Truth in these perilous  times!

Grateful sister :D

Jehovah is again preparing us for what we will soon be confronted with as false religion is the cause of all the problems that we see right now. We must get ready for the attitude shift that is soon to come towards us as we preach. The topic for discussion this month in the KM is just in time on how to handle those who respond to the message in an irate manor.
