One of my return visits will be shocked when she finds out this was a load of malarkey! [Pun intended]. I couldn't convince her that his story wasn't Biblically sound.

I was disappointed that this wasn't the boy from the movie 'Heaven is Real."  Apparently there is more than one boy out there with a story about going to and from heaven.  I'd never heard of this kid.

My understanding is that the movie was based on his book. Of course, I could be wrong.

Heaven is Real is a book/movie about 4-year-old Colton Burpo's experience while undergoing emergency surgery in 2003.

 

The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven is about Alex Malarkey's experience after being in a traffic accident in 2004.

 

Similar stories, same time period.  Different people.

Thanks for clarifying. Anyway, it took some courage, I think, for this young man to admit that he lied. His conscience apparently bothered him.
