Loved the encouraging article. I used this apart of family worship last night and the audio of Brother Brumley's 1991 talk Haled before kings from the centralprint archives. Wife and daughter seemed to like it. ☺

"there was Jehovah’s word for him, and it went on to say to him: “What is your business here, E·lijah?" To this (Elijah) he said: “I have been absolutely jealous for Jehovah the God of armies"- 1 Kings 19:9, 10 Reference Bible

I was very interested in reading this article as the family lives here in Cincinnati. Years ago I briefly met her at a

get together and know -  though not very well - her daughter Lynn, and son-in-law Gary. I'm sure it is a sad time

for them, but this article especially should give them much support  from the brothers in general. Both Lynn and

Gary went to Gilead and served as missionaries for a time. They are now back here in Cincinnati. They may have

come back to take care of Lynn's mother Dorothy. Like her famous father before her,  Hayden Covington, Lynn

has become an attorney too.

Just a little clarification. Gary and Lynn own their own business. I don't believe she went to law school. If she did, she's not a practicing attorney.

Jessica,

Thanks for the clarification.  As of  now the Elfers live in a different circuit, About the only time I see them is at a fun-

eral of someone we both know. That was  the case a couple of years ago when a brother died here who had gone through

Gilead and served as a missionary. In Chile. That's the last time I saw Lynn and Gary. I was told she went to law school

and was admitted to the bar. But as this was told to me second hand, that is all I can say for sure.

Oh, no problem. And she very well could have and I'm just unaware, but we attend the same congregation. They were in Spanish for years after they returned from the missionary field and have been back in English three or four years now.

Jessica,

Since you are in the same congregation, I would appreciate your passing on my condolances to both Gary and Lynn

for the death of her mother. Tell them this comes from Michael Stringer. Gary helped my brother Jeff several years also

when he was inactive and living in Fairfield's territory Tell Gary I appreciate that too. Finally, for the sake of clarification,

could you please ask Lynn whether what was  reported to me is true. Namely she went through law school and was admitted

to the bar. I would hate to be spreading false rumors about her. Her family has already suffered enough from that

kind of thing.
