Well, that only took a few decades!

 

Dumbo is finally about to become a major retail destination, more than 30 years after the neighborhood down under the Manhattan Bridge overpass started its transformation from dilapidated warehouse district to one of the most expensive and desirable neighborhoods in the city.

 

Food joints are eagerly gobbling up retail spaces at Brooklyn’s most talked about new commercial office complex, Dumbo Heights.

 

Farm-to-counter lunch spot Dig Inn, taqueria Dos Toros and casual meat and sandwich shop Untamed Sandwiches have signed leases at the Brooklyn high-tech hub, which comprises six buildings formerly owned by the Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Daily News has learned.
