a friend got one he used it to put his home stuff in it then moved it to Calif

Shipping containers are available in Long Beach, major ports and auctions for much less than $2K

However the containers used in Canada at $3400. are in excellent condition and look close to new or very slightly used.

 

Nice concept but each community has constant revisions to specific building codes. In the Caribbean they are stacked and arranged to minimize hurricane conditions and to avoid the high cost of imported building materials. Professionally installed siding makes the containers aesthetically appealing.
