In Australia we have a sweet marketed under the name of "Minties"...

It has for nearly a century used a slogan, "It's moments like these you need Minties", a slogan its advertising people have worked into cartoons which embody those problems we strike in everyday life. Like this one:

The individual wrappers for the sweets have a multitude of these cartoons too...

So here are a few for you all to enjoy, and I promise you'll love the reason I'm posting these:

We can all picture ourselves in many of these situations, I'm sure... but would we reach for Minties? Maybe...

Some were aimed at the specific issues of the day, like this one during the housing shortage of the early post-WW2 period:

Further amusement came for me when I dug up this one...

It's from 1927 and if the 'Roaring Twenties' isn't obvious there is something else about it... at least as far as the site I got it from is concerned.

They labelled it 'Dad bursts in,' however the advertisement itself indicates that it's the boss walking in.
