In this regard, perhaps China is doing us a favor, since such distasteful idols are better removed from God's sight.

 

But that is not the motive for the action, and Jehovah does not appreciate those denying him his right to communicate his wishes to humans who might desire to respond to him.

 

This will be a challenge for peoples of Christendom, who love their idols, more than they love Christ and God.

True by defying the government they are defying Jehovah. This could actually be dangerous for our Brothers in China. If Christendom attacks the government they could react and sweep our brothers up with the ones they want. Really is a time to remain separate for sure.

Seems kind of ridiculous to go repeating themselves.

 

But...from the Chinese government's perspective...would we like looking at crosses, towering in a country that has chosen secularism as its God?

 

That idol really does need to come down, it also dishonors the Lamb.

 

Brother Gregory may be right, when he notes that Jehovah's people need to be firmly fixed on separate ground.

 

The Brothers will probably stand up for religious freedom on our behalf, of course.  But I have no problem with the Chinese tearing down idols that do not dignify Jehovah's "loyal one".  

 

Concern for the freedoms of any brothers and sisters, there, however, clearly arises.
