Feedback/perspective from adults who were homeschooled

Recommended Posts

"Actually the full high school tuition if paid in full is less than $1400, less than $1600 if paid with a monthly plan. But they also take off part of the tuition for any work/credits previously received - both home school and brick and mortar, which can greatly reduce the tuition and monthly rate."

Dear Sister Lash, which school were you talking about? The KIngdom School is not recognized in NY

Years ago I considered homeschooling my children. I was working a swing shift, 7 days from 7 AM to 3 PM, two off, 7 days from 11 PM to 7AM, two off and 7 days form 3PM to 11PM, and 3 off. Worked 21 days working out of every 28 days and 7 days off. My off days were different every week. My wife was not a teacher type. So I decided the best thing was public school.

I know a woman in our KH who has a business teaching dance in the afternoon and evening. If she sent her daughters to public school she would never see them. She made the decision to homeschool. It worked great for her. The oldest two daughters are very open and communicative (the middle daughter is especially talkative), the youngest daughter is somewhat introverted. Each of the daughters has been a dance instructor at the mother's dance studio.

I guess it is a decision everyone has to make for themselves.
