Well, there has to be something better than the current monetary system, that much we do know.  But is this the "next best thing"?  Sounds interesting.... and the banks are looking with interest on how they can use this technology too.

 

A decentralised, anonymous, self-verifying and completely reliable register of this sort is the biggest potential change to the money system since the Medici. It's banking without banks, and money without money.
