Interesting to see Russia trying to get China, India, Iran and Turkey into this coalition. All to challenge the western influence.

Iran is a close ally to Syria - and both are being courted to align with the EEU, if not join.  And Iran no longer uses US$ in foreign trade transactions, using instead other currencies, including Chinese yuan, euro, Turkish lira, Russian ruble and South Korean won. And Russian/Turkish relations are thawing out.  "Russia is determined to continue its support to the democratically elected Syrian president. Today, Erdogan no longer seems to mind this idea." All of this is an alignment of countries in an alternative to western run economic/military and political unions.  Good luck with that, as the expression goes.  We know not to  "put (our) trust in nobles, nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs" - P s 146:3
