How to Automatically Import JWPUB files from JW.org into JW Library using Workflow

Recommended Posts

Hi friends,

As many of you may know, JWPUB files are available on jw.org if you know where to look (in the source code).  Thanks for everyone who've shared that tip! Here is an easy way to find, download, and open these files in JW Library for iOS. The process uses the app called Workflow. Just start from the Safari page of a publication, tap the share button, and run the workflow from there. Workflow will then grab the hidden JWPUB link, download it, and then give you the option to share or copy it to JW Library. Here is the AppChasers.com article that goes into more detail:

Thank you brother Eric.

Will publications automatically load into the right section in JWLibrary? Yearbooks into the Yearbooks section etc?

If a publication is subsequently officially released into JWLibrary will it create a second copy or overwrite the publication I loaded manually? If it creates a second copy, can I delete the first one?

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man. Ec 12:13

All the links for the JWPub files are built in to the app.  This is only useful if you can't wait the few hours between the time the new publication is released and the JW Library catalog being updated.  You won't find anything that is not already listed.

That is true. However, the advantage of this comes when you are searching for an article. JW.org provides a better keyword search experience. Once you find an article you are looking for, you can then quickly import the JWPUB into the app.

Thanks for your good questions. The JWPUB files are all imported into they're proper locations in JW Library.  If the publication is updated in JW Library it will replace the imported file.
