When listening to the lyrics it may sound like this song condones violence against women but one website said concerning this song:

 

“This song goes on the topic of controlling the ones you love, including family and friends. The message of the song is put into metaphors of killing and choking those who are being controlled and manipulated. It is also mentioned that there’s a reliability on control, as a need in order to survive.”
