Christian jukebox (good clean music to listen to)

Recommended Posts

One of the most beautiful songs ever written. Great voice to sing it. Several other excellent versions out there as well. Long intro, but beautiful.

Another beautiful classic Burt Bacharach composition. Hal Davis wrote the lyrics to lyrics to Bacharach's music. He gave meaning to the music. Jackie DeShannon’s voice seems to fit the song well too.    Don’t forget.....:headphones:

I want you (she’s so heavy) - The Beatles

The Beatles adapted well to the popular change and evolution of rock n roll.
This song when it first came out....I remember thinking wow, they kicked it up a little from the typical pop rock style.  The organ player in the background is the one they called the 5th Beatle.... Billy Preston

Speaking of Bill Preston....fun song.:headphones:  Will it go round in circles

I had to look up Preston in the search engine because I thought I had already posted that song. Surprised I didn’t. It must still be in my notes. Great song. Brings a smile to my face every time I hear it 🙂

Boy do I love me some good ole ignant James Brown! This is the only soul train performance I’ve seen that was a real live performance where the artist wasn’t lip syncing. I wouldn’t be surprised if he refused to do that. That’s how it’s supposed to be.

Get on the good foot. Enjoy 😁

I grew up on his music living in motown, got to see him perform live in 1998 at the Ryman in Nashville, what a show he put on, he could still get down doing the splits, great band, still one of my favorites, ya can't sit still when listening! Make it Funky! hahahaha!

Nice version, I love the orchestra too. Check out your post #188. I like that version of the song just as well and the small venue focused on the piano and the vocal style.

Here she is again with an orchestra:

"The future's uncertain and the end is always near" --- Jim Morrison

"The more I know, the less I understand. All the things I thought I knew, I'm learning again" --- Don Henley

According to the lead singer, this song is not about domestic violence. It’s about emotional manipulation that occurs in some relationships.
