Homemade Freezer Jam

I have been making this for years and seeing as how there is no topic on Jam yet,  I thought, I'd add one.

Therefore, here is delight to share with those who like jam on their toast.

 

Strawberry freezer Jam has got to be the best tasting strawberry jam  you can make.

I use the Certo Light powder  brand of pectin which in my opinion makes a tastier Jam than the regular Certo pectin. The Certo Light uses more fruit than sugar.

 

Ingredients:

1 package Certo light powder

4 cups prepared crushed strawberries. (also works great with blueberries or raspberries)

3 1/4 cups  of sugar

And that's all.

Follow the directions on the certo insert  and your good to go.

 

What's nice is that you can use frozen berries (thaw before using tho)  and make delicious fresh tasting jam through out the year.

I like the blueberry idea. Does anyone know if a sugar substitute can be used? If so which one?
