I think what has happened, is I accidentally clicked on a previous set point to restore. Instead of hitting no I did not want to restore I accidentally hit yes. Now I can't seem to find my information that I've had for the last couple of months .  Especially today , I got two calls. And I don't see a backup date for today. I don't sync to another device.

To help for next time...
From top left menu, select Backup
Then select Schedule
Turn on Schedule (Top button)
Then do auto (5 to 7 days)
(This will save a backup on either your device or on cloud - your choice)
You now will have a backup automatically created.. . and only lose a few days.
While you are there... just check your restore function, and check BOTH device and cloud folders. You may have a more recent backup. Failing that, the above should save you from a repeat.
