Compulsory Military Draft in France?

Other sites are reporting the same, so it seems legit, but it may be worth keeping in mind that this is nothing more than a campaign promise. If it's going to be enacted, he's going to need a lot of support form a lot of people, which it seems that he doesn't have at the moment.

The news is legit. It's been all around the news here for the last days.

 

A different question is if it will be implemented at all. Probably not. It would require a lot of money and work to organize that, and the profit from it would be zero.

 

Other European governements have been quick to declare that they have no intention of going back to any compulsory military service.
