I happen to have one of these in my home right now.  For two days, I have kept a dampened tissue next to my pc screen -  patiently waiting for him to stall on the screen...  They are a marvel - especially in their ability to drive us insane.  About a dozen attempts later, I have yet to get him - today, he is noticeably larger! 

 

Well, after listening to this - my conscience is bothering me.  Jehovah creates it and I'm trying to squash it.  New pet? <sigh>

I know. They belong outside, somewhere. As I read this, I thought of my taking Windex, spraying them, (as I do houseflies) sopping them, and doing them in! 

Oh well, some day we will understand. Ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, and yes, fruit flies! In the meantime, please stay away from me!
