The Gospel of Mark

I just spent the last two hours + watching a movie on Netflix.

It's called "The Gospel of Mark".

 

The full-length film is a word-for-word gospel account of the Book of Mark.

It uses 'gospel' instead of Good News, and Lord instead of Jehovah.

Jesus and his apostles are portrayed as a wild-haired, sometimes scary-looking, lot.

 

But The Truth is all there.  I smiled every time a Biblical truth was spoken.

The script was the Scriptures.  

I'd give the message ***** and the acting **.

 

It sounded like they were all speaking Italian in the background.

I put this as a matter of conscience, but I don't trust any commercial media regarding scriptures.

 

Years ago there was a mini-series about Noah and the flood running on television. I was making a delivery to a customer's business one afternoon and walked in on an animated debate regarding the show. Everyone turned to me and said, "Ask Chris. He knows the Bible."

 

Ask me what? "Is it true that Noah's wife wouldn't let Lot on the ark because of what Lot's wife did?"

 

It took me a moment to regain my composure but we had a good long talk on the matter.

Makes sense if it's set in Roman lands, as don't forget, Rome is in Italy, so ancient Roman and Latin most likely sounded Italian-like. Or at least the accent may have, which is where modern Italian would have come from.
