One site suggested using a pumice stone and vinegar.

Sounds like you may be spending some time in the pool with a pumice stone

I found a pumice stone designed for pools and it is larger and denser than the first stone that I used. I am currently using the stone to lightly go around the pool once a week. It does not appear to be damaging the tile and may be reducing the calcium silicate ring. So far so good.

I recently asked the AH Overseer if he needed a written procedure for 'Fecal Incidents' in the baptism pool. He said he hasn't seen one at any of the AH that he has been assigned to, however he had once heard that some young ones decided to throw Tootsie Rolls into a pool as a joke.

I am reminded of a movie. It had a pool scene in it. Something like a Tootsie roll is found in the pool, and there is a mad exodus.

I have this picture in my head:

A turtle casually chomping on a chocolate bar, calling out "It's ok... as the AH's wife faints...."
