Darwin Devolves

Recommended Posts

I've also been reading this book via Kindle. I'm about 20 pages in, I try to follow the ID community as closely as I can via the Discovery Institute. I also enjoy books and articles written by "Reasons To Believe" an OEC Think Tank. This book goes a long way to discredit the very mechanism by which evolution claims to function. His example of the Brown Bear-->Polar Bear was interesting. Devolution: The break down of already complete and fuctional genes when it serves to improve survival. That's the opposite of what the Neo-Darwinistic Model predicts, and it doesn't break the "Kind" barrier either in that case.

I bought the book, but I cannot read it!

Let me explain. I pre-ordered on Amazon, but shipping to Australia costs are so high, I get it sent to my daughter who lives in the US. I'll pick it up when I visit next.
(I now have another reason to go visit my daughter.)
But I did get a 'free' 41 part video course from Michael Behe. I did enjoy that.
In one lesson he makes the same point as illustrated in one of our books some time ago. The picture in our book is of a tall skyscraper type building, floating above the ground, as it has no foundation to sit on. The same with the ideas set up by Charles Darwin. His basic 'simple cell' idea was wrong, but so many ignored that basic idea, and still contemplate how to splice an RNA.
That is like talking about how the lift works in this 'baseless' building. It simply cannot come from nowhere.

As someone once said: 'The Truth is out there!'
